Azure infrastructure setup and migration
A properly built Azure environment is quieter, cheaper and safer than one that grew by accident. We design the foundation, move your workloads onto it and hand over something your team can understand.
Sound familiar?
The problems this solves
- Servers in a cupboard or a co-location rack that are out of warranty, and nobody wants to be the one on call when they fail.
- An Azure subscription someone set up years ago, with resources nobody can explain and a bill that only goes up.
- A move to the cloud that keeps getting postponed because there is no clear plan or fixed price for it.
What's included
What we do
Landing zone design
Management groups, subscriptions, resource groups, naming and tagging standards, so every resource has an owner and a purpose from day one.
Networking
Virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, private endpoints and, where needed, a site-to-site VPN or ExpressRoute back to your office.
Compute and storage
Right-sized virtual machines, App Services or containers, with managed disks, storage accounts and lifecycle rules that match how the data is actually used.
Migration
Assessment with Azure Migrate, a dependency map, a wave plan, then lift-and-shift or re-platforming with a tested cutover and a rollback path.
Governance
Azure Policy, budgets and alerts, resource locks and role-based access, so the environment stays tidy after we leave.
Documentation and handover
Architecture diagrams, runbooks for routine tasks and a walkthrough session with whoever will look after it.
How it runs
A typical engagement
- 1
Assess
We inventory what you run today, how it talks to everything else and what it must keep doing. Azure Migrate does the measuring, we do the interpreting.
- 2
Design
You get a written design with a diagram, a monthly cost estimate from the Azure pricing calculator and a fixed price for the build.
- 3
Build and migrate
The landing zone goes in first, then workloads move in waves, each tested before the next starts. Cutovers happen outside your working hours.
- 4
Handover and support
Documentation, a knowledge-transfer session and thirty days of hypercare, with an optional monthly management plan afterwards.
Outcomes
What you get
- One environment, properly segmented, with a diagram that matches reality.
- A monthly Azure bill you understood before you signed up for it.
- Backups and monitoring switched on from the start, not bolted on later.
- No lock-in: everything is built with standard Azure services you can take to another provider.

Frequently asked
How long does a migration take?
A single-server business is typically two to four weeks from first call to cutover. A dozen servers with dependencies is usually two to three months, done in waves so nothing stops working.
Will we have downtime?
Each wave has a short cutover window, usually an evening or weekend, agreed in advance. Most users notice nothing beyond a new address for a service.
Can we keep some things on-premises?
Yes. A hybrid design with a VPN between your office and Azure is common, and Azure Arc lets us manage on-premises servers from the same portal.
Do you charge for the assessment?
The first conversation is free. A formal assessment with a written design is a fixed-price piece of work, and its cost is deducted if you go ahead with the build.
